THE FIRM

 
The wine firm “Domenico Vella” which bonus a generation of great experience in vine growing, extends on a surface of about twenty hectares the 75% of it is occupied by vineyard, wbile the remaining part is cultivated with olive trees and wheat.

 

 

 

The firm, entirely qualified as “SICILY I.G.T “, insists on the land of three different areas and two provinces.
In the province of Trapani, our lands are in areas Sparagia and Salavecchia, in the municipal territory of Poggioreale and Salaparuta, respectively; in the province of Palermo, municipal territory of Monreale, they are in the area Garda-Cicala.

 

 

 

The areas are different but all the billy land, in the centre of the Belice Valley where the soil, sun and the microclimate create the ideal conditions for the production of autochtonous and valuable grapes Greganico, Ansonica, Merlot and shiny white catarratto are produced in the area Garcia-Cicala.

In the area Salavecchia we cultivate the varieties; Nero d’Avola, Syrah and chardonnay; In the area Sparagia we planted the cabernet Sauvignon.

The production of the red grapes has a low output, (55/65 quintals/ha) and when it is transformed, gives wine of good quality, with a marked and intense colour with purplish reflexes; a pleasant soft and fullbodied flavor, which can match all the refined and high cookery. The actual markets of distribution are national and foreign.
